Some spare time...

Things going well with me now, it's been 5 months now since I went back. School is fine, of course with some problems on its own. Kinda weird when you have friends few years younger than you though, but well they're great and I have no problem making friend with them. Class are great although i have to admit 2 of them  making my head go nuts, it seems I'm at my limit and cant do something about it. Mid-exam gonna come in 2 weeks from now, just gonna prepare earlier and do my best at it. (and with prayer of course)

I wish Chris Tomlin would come to my country Indonesia, hold a concert, and especially sing this song. imho a song is one of the many way to spread the good news of Lord, the power of song from praise and worship is really unbelievable (hillsong?), a lot of people can be saved by just a song and this is one of them. Since i did watch Chris Tomlin twice when i was still in US, he held a concert in my church, vineyard, for city revival or something like that, and at that time this is his new song and it really touch me =D.

for me, he he I'm still learning to play this song in guitar, i just love playing his songs on guitar, like "made to worship", "holy is the Lord", "how great is our God", and many more. I'm glad Lord give me ability to play guitar, even it's not that skillfull, to complement for my "not made for singing" voice XD

at last done with the binus international entrance test these past 2 days, the tests are okay i guess, English one not really that hard considering it's similar to TOEFL, psycho-test is little bit challenging though, mixture between english, math, general knowledge and common sense. well i did my best though, the rest i gave it to Lord whenever i get accepted or not =3

it's august already

done with the Starcraft 2 single player, it took me about 2-3 days (not full) to finish all 26 levels in story mode with normal diffilcuty. love the ending and cant wait for the episode 2 and 3 to come out, finally a game that's worth buying!

anyway, it's been a month since i came back and everything's seems OK here. i guess i already settle in nicely since my weight is proof for it, that now i'm at whooping 212 lbs (22 lbs increase). gotta love the food in here compare to what i ate in US, now i can eat rice everyday.

currently I'm helping my moms business little by little and planning going back to school as soon as possible. sure i do want to go back to US and continue in devry since it's only 2 years left, but with current condition seems impossible. right now going to binus international is the other option and reasonable one rather than waiting for things to get better, but yeah it's another 3-4 years since i started from zero again.

went to the movie earlier with my sisters to watch salt, i guess it's pretty good movie and angelina jolie looks great in the movie.

and now it's time time to play starcraft 2 like crazy XD

duh somehow what Google disabled my gmail account for no reason, and that also affecting all Google related product like blogger.

2 weeks past

already driving here and need to remind myself to drive on the left XD. once again i do somehow hate the traffic here, not so wide road, a lot of car, a lot more of motorbike, plus the taxi and bus driver driving style, and not to forget the the the traffic jam. the road even hard to memorize now with so many way from going to point a to point b, luckily there GPS already available in here.

kinda surprise with food industry growth here, so many restaurant here and there that you can almost find anything in here (Jakarta i mean). restaurant are plentiful, some fast food chain from overseas are here as well and following the trend from US by opening it 24/7, not to forget most of them even have a delivery (yep even McDonalds have delivery here and it's 24/7). btw i still love home made cooking though =3

10 pounds in less than a week!!!

Yay today my weight just hit whooping 200 pounds XD

lol yeah i maybe to paranoid about my weight, still 200 pounds it's around 90 kg. normally i weight around 196-198 pounds if my stomach really empty. since my mom really "bombard" me with a lot of food everyday ever since i came home. normally in the morning i only eat bread, now i ate full blown meal (since my mom deliver food to my room personally), the same for lunch and dinner too, and not to forget the snacks that usually available everyday =3

I'm doing great here, but somehow i do miss the old Jakarta. so many new buildings that it's feels like concrete fortress/prison for me, everything is cramped side by side, residential, commercial, tall buildings, restaurant, road, all mix into one, and yeah i do dislike crowded place. been to a few shopping mall and holy cow they are big, really big! easton and polaris are nothing i guess. but i spent most of the time at my house laying around in bed, unless there are special occasion.

home sweet home part 1

my 2nd day here XD

little bit of shock and amazement for traffic in here, being good driver for 6 years in US -> =3, then going back and looking at the traffic makes my heart beating so fast. it's like "eat or be eaten" in here, especially with all the motorcycles, taxi, and public transport driving style that are similar to new york cab/taxi driver.

great food, arriving in jakarta, my family took me to restaurant leko in sudirman city walk, that specialize in iga,. good thing is that i don't really have to adapt with food or have any weird reaction to it. the food taste great after eating all the stuff in the airplane, somehow eating rice just made my day =D. i even already ate fried rice from cart vendor (mie tek2) at night, simple food that taste so great XD

my only complain is that my ac unit make chirping noise, kinda annoying when you want quiet time or bed time, considering it's quite hot in here (for me) without ac on.

woohoo 2 more days before d-day!!! kinda excited though since I've never been on plane flight for 6 years =3

well lately I've been busy cleaning my apartment this week and currently pretty much clean. there are still some shipping box left to be ship, few tables, mattress and lamp that i still use, and few small stuff to get rid off. and not to forget i still need to clean the apartment, kitchen is done, did the bathroom yesterday but still need more cleaning and planning to do vacuum today so by Monday it's gonna smell nice and clean =D

lactose intolerance

got milk?

duh....i just realize that i actually have (maybe a mild) a lactose intolerance =3

well a small amount of milk is fine with me, but if i drink a full glass of it then my stomach get upset. funny thing is that i never paid attention to it and just consider there are something wrong with and it wont "kill" me in long term, thus i still drinking milk, eat my favorite ice cream, or eat any dairy products until today without any concerns (unless i get severe symptoms) =D

been d/l like crazy lately

yeah it's the preparation before i go home, lol since i know the internet back home is kinda slow so I'm thinking why not download in here while i can XD. most of them are games though since the size of games are bigger compare to programs, but i do have some essentials program that i do use often =3.

well just like i said in previous post, my flight it's on 29th. basically I'm all set here, just few little errands to do before i go (which somehow can not be finished asap o_O?). also praying that everything is gonna be okay this coming 3 weeks, don't wanna have something bad happen before i go huh =P

where ice cream price sometimes cheaper than usual XD

I've been buying breyers ice cream lately in walmart since the weather and temps kinda warm to hot lately, makes perfect excuse for eating ice cream. usually i kinda hesitant even to buy one considering the price factor, well normally they sell around $3-3.50/quartz, but right now it's at whooping $2!!!, the same price with 2 whooper junior at BK but with more calorie in it =P, and anyway it's way cheaper than buying one scoop ice cream in graeters, ritas, denny's, etc. that's why i always buy either 2-3 of my favorite flavor (choco chip and cookie dough) since they sell out pretty fast =3

pretty excited yesterday since i got my new notebook, been tinkering until now moving all the stuff from my desktop into it. well so far so good nothing bad happened, screen is great except it's so bright when it's dark (cause it's a LED screen), keyboard need to get used to it, and there is no lid in the screen. luckily my old backpack/messenger bag still fit this 17.3" notebook, and I'll probably gonna get screen protector for the sake of mint screen.

another one that i wanna get is a camcorder, I'm thinking getting Sony HDR XR150 in amazon, yeah it's pretty much cheaper here than in our country. still debating whether get the NTSC or PAL version, NTSC is the cheapest, and PAL is little bit expensive, but it's more expensive buying in my home country.

if it were me, I'd rather get cheap notebook or cheap tablet pc which can do more that iPad, since iPad (in my opinion) = dumbed down tablet PC =3

btw it sucks to have your toilet clogged =(

well it's actually my fault, since the grinder in kitchen sink doesn't work, so i decided to dump leftover rice in my toilet bowl, and walla when i flush it already clogged the toilet XD, 3rd flush make it worse since water level rise. after that, yeah i have to remove some the rice manually by hand and use the plunger but nonetheless it still clogged after that.

simple search on the google reveal there is simple method using dish soap and hot water, just squirt some liquid dish soap into toilet bowl, then pour (preferably boiling) water slowly, use the plunger several times(the more the better), and voila it should fix the problem (note that this method wont work on solid stuff like toys, plastic, etc)

and there you go... now the toilet ready to use to the fullest extent =3

somehow it's colder inside my room (and my apartment) compare to outside XD. i just realize it when i went out that it's warmer than my room. i don't know what went wrong with my room, my friend though that i turn on the AC on when the AC always off, the windows is always close. when it goes like this somehow my health tend to go down too, well not actual sickness but more like "i don't fell good".

BTW we have BBQ today after church, since yesterday plan was canceled since it's to cold outside. It's still pretty cold outside with sun shining brightly, we also set up some bonfire to make us warm. Well... I don't really ate that much, just one plate consist of a rib, a beef patty, jumbo hot-dog, grilled chicken, some chicken wings and mac & cheese with bacon. Somehow my stomach can't really accept that much, halfway through eating it I'm already full, I haven't try the deserts yet, still i did finish all the food since i don't wanna waste it =3. And guess what, my weight increase around 10 pounds (5 kg), when i check this morning it's around 86-87kg, now it's more than 90kg, hip hip hurray!!!! XD

by the way, marvel show bunch of easter eggs in the film. first is the appearance of nick fury again (samuel l jackson) talking about avenger (he also appears in the first film after the end credits), then there is the scene where.tony stark show some unfinished experiment which looks like shield => it's obvious that's "Captain America" shield, and the last one which is shown after the credits roll is a short scene revealing something was found in the crater in the desert, showing "Thor" hammer.

i just love the look of this plane, no it's not an F-22 Raptor, the x sign means the plane is prototype. he he to bad it's only a fictional aircraft in Tom Clancy's universe, like Endwar and HAWX video game. it would be cool if they actually give a green light to make one of these, in the game HAWX this plane is playable as a ground attack/close air support, in real life i guess they gonna replace an aging a-10 thunderbolt, and btw this plane also has stealth feature.

metro 2033 is quite good bringing the atmosphere; it's really great survival horror game that give similar feeling to fear. most of the levels are dark and you have to rely on your flashlight, great ambient sound that makes chilling atmosphere, scarce ammo and sometimes overwhelming enemy, the visuals are pretty good and at he same time require good computer to play in very high setting.

it's been raining lately in here and i love it when it happen. Somehow by just seeing the water falls and hearing the rain drops give me mellow feeling.

assassins creed 3 in 2012???

just finished playing assassins creed 2, little bit tired since been playing it past few days and i must say it's really great. it's rare for me to play a game until it's finished, but this one got hook me up, well it's not perfect but i really enjoy all aspect of the game, especially the storyline, that's why i cant stop playing it. worth mentioning is the story itself, it's continuation since they don't tell much in the first game, love the story about the assassins vs the Templar in all ages even though it's fiction, the interesting one is theory about human creation, and also what gonna happen in year 2012. you can read more of it in wiki or wikia for assassins creed 2 since I'm not gonna spoiler it here.

i though the clash of the titans is gonna be blast, but boy I'm wrong, the only good part is when the kraken show up around the end of films. well the animations is great, but the rest of it is just so so.

how to train your dragon is another story, i enjoy this movie a lot. well what can you expect from one of the director of lilo & stitch, not to mention the studio behind it => dreamworks animation, who recently rolled out kungfu panda.

2 hours in 2010

just got back from my church new year celebration and i manage to bring back some food from there. let's see....I got ham, fried chicken, chicken pie, some pizza, toasted bread, and finally chips. at least I get better good instead of eating ramen in new year XD

well......, since right now I'm not really sleepy, guess I'm just gonna do a movie marathon until I'm sleepy. got bunch of movie i still haven't watch it yet and need to get rid off, since my principle is download it -> watch it -> delete it.
